Ravichandran Ashwin, Indian off-spinner is in magnificiant form with both the bat and the ball. India is set to play the three-match Test series against New Zealand which will begin on 22nd September. Ashwin will have a opportunity to become the second fastest bowler to grab 200 wickets in the history of Test Cricket. In 36 matches, he has taken 193 wickets.
He need seven more wickets in the first test at Kanpur to surpass Waqar Younis and Dennis Lillee. Both Younis and Lillee took 200 wickets in 38 test matches. Former Australian leg-spinner Clarrie Grimmett is the quickest bowler to take 200 test wickets as he done in just 36 matches.
