Mumbai Indians holds the record of largest margin victory in the history of Indian Premier League. During the IPL 2017 season, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Daredevils by huge 146 runs. With the help of Kieron Pollard’s 65(35) and Simmons’ 66(43), MI scored 212 runs in the first innings.
In reply, Delhi batsmen failed to chase the total as they scored just 66 runs with 0 wickets in hand. Karn Sharma and Harbhajan Singh’s 3 wickets helped MI to clinch the victory. With this win, Mumbai Indians created the new record of biggest victory in the IPL history. The previous record was 144 run by RCB against GL.

The Mumbai based team have most wins in the history of Indian Premier League. They won 91 games in the 10 years of Indian Premier League. Lowest Scores Defended
The Chennai Super Kings team holds the record of defending the lowest total in the history of IPL. One of the most successful team in the IPL, CSK defended a total of just 116 against Kings XI Punjab in the 2nd season of IPL.
CSK openers gave a flying start as they reach 50 in just 6 overs but the middle order batsmen failed to make it big. They were bowled out for just 116. In reply, CSK bowlers dominated KXIP players from the very first ball. KXIP ended their innings at 92 after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Highest Successful Run Chases
In an augural edition of the Indian Premier League, Rajasthan Royals chased down 217 runs against Deccan Chargers. Chargers posted a total of 214 runs with the help of Andrew Symonds’ brilliant century. In reply, Yusuf Pathan’s 61(28), Graeme Smith’s 71(45) and Warne’s 22(9) helped his team to chase this total. This 11 year record is still unbreaten.
Best Bowling Figures
Despite having only one star player Shane Warne in the squad, Rajasthan Royals clinched the first ever IPL trophy. Pakistan’s lanky fast bowler Sohail Tanvir is one of the reason behind Rajasthan’s victory.
In 2008 IPL season, RR restricted CSK to 109 runs with the help of Sohail Tanvir’s 6/14. RR won the match by 8 wickets. Tanvir became the second highest wicket taker in the first IPL season with 22 wickets.
Highest Individual Score
This record belongs to one of the best T20 batsman in the world, Chris Gayle. The hard-hitter from the West Indies smashed 175 runs in just 66 balls with help of massive 17 sixes against Pune Warriors India in 2013. With this healthy knock from Chris Gayle, RCB defeated Pune by 130 runs.
The previous highest score was 158 which was scored by Brendon McCullum in the very first game of the Indian Premier League history against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Lowest Team Score
This unwanted record was created by the Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB were bowled out for just 49 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2017. They surpassed Rajasthan Royals’ 58 runs to create new unwanted record.
Highest Team Score
During the 2013 IPL season, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a total of 263 for 5 in 20 overs against Pune Warriors India. This is the highest ever total in any T20 game. Chris Gayle’s thundering 175 helped RCB to post a huge total against Pune team. Royal Challengers Bangalore won that match by 130 runs.

Sri Lankan lanky fast bowler Lasith Malinga has the most wicket in the history of IPL. He has 154 IPL wickets to his name after playing 110 matches. His best figure in the IPL was 13/5. He got many wickets with his yorkers, swings, etc.

One of the talented left-hander from India, Suresh Raina holds this record. He is known for ‘Mr. IPL’. He has 4540 runs to his name with the help of 1 hundred and 31 fifties.
