Jamie Daniel: Missing boy, 14, found dead in wooded area in southeast London | UK News

A 14-year-old boy has been found dead in a wooded area in southeast London after being reported missing.

Officers were called to Dene Avenue, Sidcup, at 10.51am on Thursday after the unresponsive youth was found.

Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “The male has been formally identified as 14-year-old Jamie Daniel, who had been reported missing from Bexley.”

The teenager was found approximately 3.6 miles from where he was reported to be missing from.

Jamie Daniel was last seen leaving school in uniform and getting on the 132 bus from Eltham at around 4pm.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained while enquiries continue.

Officers have said a file will be prepared for the coroner.
