Johnny Depp has appeared on stage in Sheffield only two days after his six-week court case in Virginia came to an end.
The jury in the multi-million dollar defamation trial between the actor and his ex-wife, Amber Heard, was sent out to consider its verdicts on Friday.
Just 48 hours later, Depp turned up at Sheffield City Hall to play on Jeff Beck’s European tour.
Stunning fans in the Sunday night audience, the Pirates of the Caribbean star sang his cover of Isolation – originally a John Lennon song – which the pair released together in 2020.
One fan tweeted: “Johnny is an absolute mad man…leaves court Friday, playing a gig in Sheffield UK Sunday.. with Jeff Beck..mind blown.”
Another posted: “How the f*** am I going to sleep now after seeing someone I never thought I’d see in a million month of Sundays in Sheffield where I live?”
A third commented: “Well, looks like Johnny Depp will not be there for the verdict sometime next week. He’s touring with Jeff Beck.”
While best known for acting, Depp is also a guitarist with Hollywood Vampires, a band formed by him, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry in 2012.
The name comes from a celebrity drinking club formed by Cooper in the 1970s which was linked with John Lennon and Ringo Starr from the Beatles, Keith Moon from The Who, and Harry Nilsson.
