Chennai Rains 2015: The capital city of tamil nadu, Chennai heavily affected by rain floods for past 15 days. Bikes, cars and buses can be seen floating, schools and colleges have been shutdown, and all lakes, ponds overflows into the housing area.
December 1, 2015: Chennai has always enjoyed a reputation as one of the four biggest cities in the country, with a population of 4.3 million. While roads seemed to hold on the first day of rains, by tuesday morning, Chembarabakkam, Patravakkam, Ambattur, Koyambedu, Anna Nagar, Thillai Ganga Nagar and Vadapalani areas reported severe flooding and traffic jams. Additionally, news has come in of Mandaveli, Nanganallur, West Mambalam, Kilpauk, Anna Nagar, Tambaram and Chromepet areas facing power cuts for 12 hours or longer.
