The forthcoming auction of the Indian Premier League will be the biggest one since the inaugural auction of Indian Premier League in 2008. Most of the star players will go under the hammer ahead of the Indian Premier League 2018.
The two franchise have supported for the open auction ahead of the Indian Premier League but the IPL council yet to make any comment on it. But according to report, a franchise can retain three players for IPL 2018. If the reports are to be believed, the Kings XI Punjab team would like to retain these players. Check out:
Glenn Maxwell
If BCCI impose teams to retain only one player then KXIP will go with Glenn Maxwell without any other choice. He played 2012 and 2013 season for Mumbai Indians but he did not get much oppurtunity to showcase his talents. Then in 2014, Glenn Maxwell thrashed all the bowlers after Kings XI Punjab bought him for 2014 season.
Glenn Maxwell have won many matches with his hard-hitting skills. Maxwell scored 310 runs in 14 matches and grabbed 7 wickets during last season of Indian Premier League.

Axar Patel
He is a another big asset for Kings XI Punjab after Glenn Maxwell. Not only IPL, he is also performing for Indian team at the International level. At every stage, he takes wicket without conceding much run. If he fails to contribute with the ball, he will contribute with the bat.
He can hit some big shots whenever needed. In last Indian Premier League season, he scored 227 runs and picked up 15 wickets. So, Kings XI Punjab franchise will retain him for next season to increase the both batting and bowling strength.

David Miller
South Africa’s destructive middle order batsman – David Miller playing for Kings XI Punjab franchise since the 2012 IPL season. Miller failed to perform for Kings XI Punjab in the last season, but he is smashing bowlers at the International level.
Recently, he scored the fastest T20 International century off just 35 balls against Bangladesh. Once he get back his form, he can thrash every bowlers. So, the KXIP franchise would desperate to retain David Miller.
