The film Vada Chennai is a gangster drama which is directed by Vetrimaaran. Vijay Sethupathy, who was opted for the lead role in this film, walked out of the project because of the date issues.
Now, the female lead of this film changed for the third time. First, it was Samantha who opted out of the project, then Amala Paul was replaced her. Now Amala Paul too walked out of the project due to date issues. Now, Aishwarya Rajesh has been signed as female lead.
Aishwarya had earlier worked with Dhanush and Vetrimaaran on the award-winning film, Kaaka Muttai. The actor has already started to shoot for the film. Recently, Actor Dhanush had tweeted that he has started shooting for the film.
It has been produced by Lyca Productions, in associated with Dhanush’s Wunderbar Studios and Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film Company. The music will be done by Santhosh Narayanan. Samuthrakani and Andrea Jeremiah has been signed as supporting roles.
