Wicket-keeper Mohammad Mithun and All-rounder Nasir Hossain has been recalled to the side.
Bangladesh announced the 15 members squad on wednesday for the ICC T20I World Cup which will help in India. The selectors recalled Nasir Hossain and Mohammad Mithun to the side. Mithun played his last match in Bangladesh in 2014 while Nasir Hossain was not played the series against Zimbabwe.
The announcement was made at a Press Conference at the SBNCS Media Centre. Faruque Ahmed, Chief Selector of the National selection panel announced the squad on wednesday with Minhazul Abedin and Habibul Bashar.
Faruque Ahmed said,“More or less we have an idea about our best 11 players. We thought they have the potential to be the next best.”
Imrul Kayes and Litton Kumar Das, who were in the provisional squad, have been overlooked for the showcase event which will be held in India in March.
Mashrafe Mortaza will lead Bangladesh team in the World Cup event. Mushfiqur Rahim and left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman also returned to the squad after missed the series against Zimbabawe due to an injury. Bangladesh will play the qualifier game along with Ireland, Netherland, Hong Kong and Oman.
