Brendon McCullum ruled out of remainder IPL – Scooptimes

New Zealand’s explosive opener Brendon McCullum who plays for Gujarat Lions in the Indian Premier Leauge 2017, has been ruled out of remainder of IPL due to thigh injury.

In IPL 2017, Gujarat Lions have played 11 matches but won 3 matches and lost 8 games. Gujarat Lions having star players like Brendon McCullum, Aaron Finch, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Smith, James Faulkner but struggling to perform.

In a tweet, McCullum stated that the “compressed tournament and long travel” had taken a toll.

Brendon McCullum have scored 319 runs in 11 matches with a strike-rate of 147 and he is currently the second-highest run getter for Gujarat Lions this season.

Gujarat Lions will face Kings XI Punjab in Mohali on May 7. They will finish this season with two home games against Delhi Daredevils (May 10) and Sunrisers Hyderabadh (May 10).
