ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2016 Logo unveiled – Scooptimes

The official logo of ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2016 has been unveiled on Tuesday. The tournament is set to host by India next year with 12 teams participating in the event.

The seventh edition of Twenty20 world cup to organize by International Cricket Council next year, The most awaited tournament of the year is going to host by India. The 2016 T20 World Cup is to be held from March 11 to April 3 next year.

Earlier in 2015, ICC given the rights for India to host the T20 world cup 2016. For the first time, India will be hosting the tournament without any collaboration.

The first edition of this inaugural tournament was won by Team India in 2007. Later in 2009, Pakistan comes out as the winners, England, West Indies, and Sri Lanka became World Twenty20 champions in 2010, 2012 and 2014 respectively.

The ICC also announced that Bengaluru, Chennai, Dharamshala, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur, Kolkata and New Delhi are the cities to host the tournament. Star Sports acquired the broadcast rights of India for a whopping amount. Stay tune this space for more recent updates about ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2016.
