He was born on 18 February 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He completed her schooling and college in the same city. After completing a degree at Hindustan College of Arts and Science, he decided to make a career in film industry.
He played a supporting role in Silambarasan’s Vallavan and Kaalai. But, he came to limelight when he appeared as a Dharavi bar owner in Ajith Kumar’s blockbuster movie ‘Mankatha’. Mahat also appeared as Vijay’s brother in the movie ‘Jilla’.
