Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of the ongoing test series against India due to shoulder injury. He will not available for Indian Premier League 2017 due to injury.
It will be the big blow for Rising Pune Supergiants who will be looking to perform better in IPL 10. RPSG finished the IPL 2016 at the 7th spot of the table. Mitchell Marsh was failed to perform in the first two test matches against India.
Mitchell Marsh made his test debut in 2014 but has not been a permanent player in the team. He scored 674 runs and picked up 29 wickets so far.
Australia’s Physiotherapist David Beakley said, “Mitchell has been playing with a shoulder injury for most of the summer,”. “We have been managing (it) up until now but unfortunately it has progressively deteriorated to a point where he is unable to function at the level required.”
He has played 48 ODI’s and 9 T20Is for Australia Cricket Team. Mitchell Marsh requires 9 months for shouler reconstruction. He will miss this IPL and might miss the Ashes which begins in 2017 November.
Marsh scored only 48 runs and bowled just five overs in the first two test matches against India. Cricket Australia named Marcus Stoinis as the replacement for injured Mitchell Marsh.
