Actress and comedian Rebel Wilson has revealed she is in a relationship with a woman, announcing the news during Pride month.

The star shared a photo of herself with Ramona Agruma on Instagram, telling her 11 million followers: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove.”

Wilson, 42, and Agruma were first pictured together at an NFC game in Los Angeles in January, and reportedly attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party together in March.

Agruma’s Instagram bio says she is the founder of a sustainable clothing brand and a jewellery brand ambassador.

In an interview with US entertainment publication People in May, Wilson confirmed she was in a relationship, saying she was set up with her partner through a friend and that they spoke on the phone for several weeks before meeting.

“That was a really good way to get to know each other,” she said. “It was a bit old-school in that sense – very romantic.”

Wilson, star of Bridesmaids, Jojo Rabbit and the Pitch Perfect films, continued: “I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it’s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship.

“There were times – I’m not saying with all my exes, they’re great – but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn’t have. So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship.”

Wilson, who hosted the BAFTA Awards earlier this year, previously dated Jacob Busch in 2020, with the couple pictured on a red carpet in September that year after months of being rumoured to be together.

The star spoke about their relationship in an interview with US entertainment site E! News in November 2020, saying they started dating before she famously lost weight.

“Some people on social media say, ‘Oh, well, you lost weight and then you got a hot boyfriend’,” Wilson said. “But, what I do want to say to those people is that I actually dated Jacob when I was at my heaviest as well.

“So, it’s not like I suddenly lost weight, and then you’re like, oh, you get a hot boyfriend – that’s not how it works,” she added. “This guy liked me at 100 kilos (220 pounds) and now 75 kilos (165 pounds). I just want to clear out that.

“There’s something really comforting in that to me because you’re like, oh, it wasn’t necessarily of what my body type was. He really likes me for me.”

Wilson and Busch reportedly split up in 2021.
