Rishabh Pant’s 48-ball-100 is not fastest century in FC cricket – Scooptimes

Delhi left-hander Rishabh Pant has scored his century in just 48 balls against Jharkhand. He is in terrific form in last few years. He has scored 146, 308, 60, 24, 9, 117 and 135 runs in Ranji Trophy 2016-17 season.

After reached his 100 in 48 balls, everyone has thought that this is the fastest century in the history of First-class cricket. But, his hundred is the not the fastest, former cricketer Shakti Singh from Himachal Pradesh scored 100 in just 40 balls against Haryana.

Shakti Singh also broke the record of fastest fifty in Ranji Trophy, reaching the mark in just 18 balls. But this record was broken by Bandeep Singh in 2015 as he reached this in just 15 balls.
