Siva Family & Earlier Life

He was born on 12th August to documentary photographer Jayakumar in Chennai. His real name is Sivakumar Jayakumar. The popular producer and writer, A.K. Velan is a grandfather of director Siva. Bala, who acts in Tamil and Malayalam movies, is Siva’s brother. The more details about his personal and family are not known. Stay here will update soon.

Siva Career & Facts

In his early days, he wanted to become a film director. He became a gold medalist from Adyar Film Institute in the year 1998. As an operative cameraman, he went to Hyderabad to work for Jayan Manade Raa which was released in 2000. After his brother Bala made his debut as actor, Siva became an cinematographer.

In 2008, he directed his first film ‘Souryam’. The film starring Gopichand and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. Inn 2009, he made another as a director again with Gopichand. Siva made his kollywood debut in 2011 with the film Siruthai. The film starring Karthi in the lead role, became a huge success which earned him a name ‘Siruthai Siva’.

Siva directed another telugu film ‘Daruvu’ which was released in 2012 became an utter flop. Then in 2014, he joined with Kollywood star Ajith for Veeram. Ajith requested him to direct rural story and it was appreciated by all Kollywood fans. After the huge success of Veeram, he directed Vedhalam, Vivegam. While Vedhalam hits at box office, Vivegam failed to do. Siva’s 4th film with Ajith titled ‘Viswasam’.
