Top 5 batsmen quickest to score 25 ODI hundreds – Only few cricket players have made more centuries in ODI. Sachin Tendulkar is leading the table with 49 ODI centuries. Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara scored 30 and 25 ODI tons respectively, Virat Kohli joins fourth on this table with 25 ODI tons. Kumar Sangakkara – 379 Innings

Sri Lankan cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara reached his 25th ton in his 379th innings. He placed in this list on No.5. He smashed 124 runs at a strike-rate of 130.52 against Scotland in Oval in the World Cup 2015. Sri Lanka won the match and Kumar Sangakkara was awarded Man of the Match.

Sanath Jayasuriya – 373 Innings

Another Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya, who reached his 25th century in ODI in his 373rd innings. His 25th ODI ton came against West Indies in the ICC World Cup (2006/2007). He scored 115 runs with a strike-rate of 113.86 in Providence Stadium, Guyana. He was awarded as Player of the match.

Ricky Ponting – 279 Innings

Ricky Ponting, who won the two world cup for Australia. He took 279 Innings to score 25 ODI hundred. He is in No.3 in this list. His 25th century came against New Zealand in Oval, Hobart on 20 December 2007. He scored 134* with a strike-rate of 100.75. He guides Australia to win the match.

Sachin Tendulkar – 234 Innings

Sachin scored his 25th century in 234 innings. He smashed 122 vs South Africa in Vadodara on 2000, its his 25th ton. India were playing a five-match series against South Africa in 2000. They scored 282 runs in 50 overs with a good opening partnership from Jacques Kallis and Gary Kirsten.

India gave a fitting reply as the opening pair of Ganguly and Tendulkar hammered 153 runs for the first wicket. Ganguly was dismissed for 87, while Tendulkar scored 122 off 138 balls. They guided India to a win. In that match, Sachin Tendulkar was awarded the Man of the Match.

Virat Kohli – 162 Innings

Virat Kohli slammed his 25th ODI century in just his 162nd innings and becoming the quickest batsmen to get there, breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record. He scored his 25th century in ODI against Australia.

Chasing a huge target of 349, Kohli walked to bat with Dhawan after Rohit out for 41. He got off the mark with a boundary. He smashed 117 with a strike rate of 100 plus, but his 25th ODI ton goes in vain. Now the 28-year-old dashing cricketer has also reached to the 4th spot among leading centurions in ODI cricket.
