Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly says that Virat Kohli is the right successor to Ms Dhoni in the limited overs format.
Sourav Ganguly said,”He is the right successor (to Dhoni) in one- day Internationals and T20Is. He will be equally fantastic, there’s no doubt about that.”
Virat Kohli, who is leading the test team successfully, will captain the ODI and T20I formats in the upcoming series.
Ms Dhoni, who stepped down as the captain of limited overs format, will continue to play as wicket-keeper batsman in the series against England.
Star left-hand player Yuvraj Singh who made his comeback earlier last year, had played Asia cup and T20i World Cup. But he dropped from the team after T20 World Cup. Now he is making comeback again to the team after his brilliant performance in Ranji Trophy. He has scored 674 runs in five matches before taking a break due to his marriage.
“It’s a great thing he (Yuvraj) has been included in both the formats. I’m confident he will get some runs and succeed,” Ganguly said. hailing the inclusion of Yuvraj in both ODI and T20I sides.
