Pakistan’s leg-spinner bowler Yasir Shah has been banned for three months for failing drug test.Yasir Shah will be available to play again on March 27. Shah was provisionally suspended on December 27 after his “A” sample contained a banned substance – chlortalidone – which is on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list.
It means Yasir Shah rules out of the Pakistan Super League, Asia Cup and T20 World Cup, and he could make his return for Pakistan in June during the tour of England.
The PCB appealed against Shah’s ban on 10th January after Yasir Shar was said to have taken his wife’s blood pressure without knowing that it contained the banned substance.
Yasir Shah took 76 Test wickets in just 12 Test matches. He has the record of fastest Pakistan bowler to reach 50 wickets in Test. He picked 24 wickets in a three match test series against Sri Lanka in July and he took 15 wickets in three match test series against England.
