Sarah Everard’s killer Wayne Couzens has pleaded not guilty to four charges of indecent exposure.

The 49-year-old former police officer is accused of the flashing in January and February last year in Swanley, Kent.

Couzens, wearing a grey sweatshirt and with a white beard, appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from Frankland prison in Durham.

It’s alleged he “intentionally exposed his genitals intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm and distress”.

He spoke to confirm his identity and denied the charges.

In a separate case, Couzens – who kidnapped, raped and murdered Miss Everard – is appealing against the whole-life sentence that means he will die in jail.
