Comedians Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle have revealed details of a joint show in London to take place later this year – making the announcement just weeks after they were both attacked in separate incidents while on stage.
The two American stars will perform a co-headline gig at the O2 Arena on Saturday 3 September.
It comes after Rockjoined Chappelleduring a performance at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood, where they joked about the recent incidents.

In March, Rock was slapped on stage at the Oscars by Will Smith after making a joke at the expense of the actor’s wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, as he was about to present an award.
In May, Chappelle was performing as part of the Netflix Is A Joke festival at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles when he was “tackled” by a man who rushed on to the stage.
At the Comedy Store gig just two days later, Chappelle reportedly told Rock: “At least you got smacked by someone of repute.
“I got smacked by a homeless guy with leaves in his hair.”
Rock reportedly laughed and referred to Smith as “soft”.
Chappelle’s appearance at the event was a last-minute addition, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with Rock joining him 10 minutes into his performance.
Isaiah Lee, the man accused of attacking Chappelle, has pleaded not guilty to four misdemeanour charges – battery, possessing a deadly weapon with intent to assault, unlawfully crossing from a spectator area on to a stage at a theatrical event, and interfering with or delaying such an event with unlawful conduct.
Following the incident with Rock, Smith was banned from attending any Academy events, including the Oscars, for 10 years. He described his actions as “shocking, painful and inexcusable”.
Announcing Rock and Chappelle’s O2 gig, entertainment company Live Nation said the “comedy legends” would play an “iconic co-headlining show in London”.
