Alia Bhatt was born on 15th March, 1993 into a Bhatt family. Her parents Mahesh Bhatt (Father) is a filmmaker and Soni Razdan (Mother) is a actress. She has an elder sister, Shaheen and two half-siblings, Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt. Actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri are her maternal cousins, while producer Mukesh Bhatt is her uncle.
Alia Bhatt completed her schooling at the Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai. Her first acting role was as a child artist in Sangharsh, which was released in 1999. She played the younger version of Priety Zinta’s character.
She had her first leading role in 2012 with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.
