Faf du Plessis creates record – Scooptimes

In the 2nd ODI match between South Africa and Australia, Proteas captain Faf du Plessis created record. He scored 111 runs off 146 balls including 13 fours. Faf du Plessis becomes the 2nd player to score atleast a century as a captain in all 3 formats of international cricket when he scored a century against Australia.

The first player to score a century in all formats as a captain is Sri Lanka’s opener Tillakaratne Dilshan. Faf du Plessis also Becomes the 1st player to score atleast a century at the same venue (Johannesburg) in all 3 formats of international cricket. In Test, he scored a century with a best of 134 runs.

In ODIs, he scored only one century at Johannesberg against Australia as he scored 111 runs in 146 balls. In T20Is, he smashed 119 runs against West Indies earlier last year.
