Ishant Sharma ruled out of first Test against New Zealand – Scooptimes

Indian Test Team leading bowler Ishant Sharma has been ruled out of the first Test match of the three-match test series against New Zealand which is to be played at Kanpur on September 22. He has not able to recover from Chikumgunya.

He might play the second Test match against New Zealand. Yet BCCI has named any replacement for Ishant Sharma and if BCCI decides to replace a player for Sharma, there is a more chance for Jasprit Bumrah. Ishant Sharma has played 72 test matches and took 209 wickets so far.

New Zealand will play the test match at Kanpur which will hosting a Test match after six years. Both India and Kiwis will fly to Kolkata for the second Test which starts on 30th september.

The third and fouth or final Test match will be played at Holkar stadium which will hosting a Test match for the first time in Test cricket history. Five ODI matches series will follow the Test series. The Kiwis will announce the squad for ODI series later.
