Mumbai Indians, who won the toss against Royal Challengers Bangalore, decided to field first. Royal Challengers Bangalore batsmen scored valuable runs from the start, but failed to make it big. Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers made good partnership but middle order batsmen failed to score. However, RCB scored a decent total of 143 runs in 20 overs.
While chasing, RCB’s Samuel Badree took an hat-trick in the 3rd over of 2nd inning. Stuart Binny removed Buttler early. In the 3rd over, Badree took an hat-trick and put them 9/4 after 3 overs. The first wicket was Parthiv Patel , who was caught by gayle in the cover. They sent Mitchell McClenaghan to hit big shots, but he went to pavilion in the first ball.
