Fans have been gathering in Paris on Friday and Saturday, with red shirts a common sight in the French capital.

Smoke flares were seen being let off in the Friday sunshine, including in front of the Eiffel Tower as supporters got into the spirit.

Liverpool fans surrounded the Cours de Vincennes area in the southeast of the city, with smoke billowing into the air as flares were let off.

Supporters could be seen drinking and chanting in nearby pubs with traffic brought to a standstill.

A heavy police presence is in the area, including armed officers.
