Hyderabad: Popular Malayalam movie a actress Kalpana passes away today at Hyderabad Apollo hospital. The 51 year old actress who was admitted in hospital last night for sudden attack.
Kalpana, who prominent for her comedy roles in south Indian film industry. she acted in more than 300 movies in malayalam and tamil movies. she made her debut in 1983 for movie Manju (Malayalam).
Kalpana, whose full name is Kalpana Ranjini, is the daughter of theatre artists VP Nair and Vijayalakshmi. Kalpana sister’s Urvashi and Kalaranjini are also established actors.
The 51 year old actress made her debut tamil in Chinna veedu with Bhagiyaraj. And she prominent for her notable tamil roles in movies like Pamal K Samandham and more films. Her last tamil movie which released in 2014, as she played as role of Sivakarthikeyan mother in Kakki Sattai.
Kalpana honoured with national award as Best Supporting Role in 2012 for malayalam movie, Thanichalla Njan. She made her last appearance in Charlie, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy Menon which was still running in theatres. Indian cinema industry lost another prominent female actress, May her soul rest in peace! Kalpana (1965 – 2016).
