The SUV is the most powerful petrol model in the segment, as the only rival is the Hyundai Alcazar (159hp). On the other hand, the 2.2-liter, four-cylinder mHawk turbocharged diesel unit comes in two states of tune. The lower state of tune generates 155 bhp and 360Nm, while the other tuned engine produces 185 bhp and 420Nm. The XUV700 diesel also has the highest power output amongst its rivals. The diesel model offers four drive modes- Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom – that deliver different performance and steering experiences. Petrol and diesel engines come with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options, but the lower-spec diesel has only a manual. Upping the driving experience is an all-wheel-drive model.
