The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are due to arrive in the UK for their first joint Royal Family occasion since they stepped away from royal duties, and they’re bringing their children.
Harry and Meghan are set to fly in from America with Archie and Lilibet ahead of the four-day Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
It will be the first time the couple will be seen in public with other members of the family since they left for America. Prince Harry returned for Prince Philip’s funeral in April last year but without Meghan, who was pregnant at the time.

It will also be the first time that other members of the family have met their daughter Lilibet, whose name caused some controversy after it was claimed that the Queen was told but not asked if they could use her childhood nickname.
Last month, it was announced that the Queen had decided only working royals would appear on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, but moments later a spokesperson for the couple revealed they would be travelling to London for the event.
“Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited and honoured to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children,” they said.

It isn’t clear which events the Sussexes will be seen at, although it is likely that they would appear at what are seen as more open family moments such as the thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, or the concert in front of the palace on Saturday night.

Despite all the drama around their departure from royal life, and their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Queen has continued to refer to them as “much loved” members of the family.
It is reported they will stay at Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate, their family home before they left for America, and they’ll have another celebration to mark, with Lilibet turning one on Saturday.
