Kings XI Punjab appoint David Miller captain – Scooptimes

David Miller appointed as the Captain of Kings XI Punjab for the Indian Premier League season 9.

South Africa’s middle order batsman David Miller appointed as the Skipper of the Kings XI Punjab. Kings XI Punjab appointed David Miller as captain after released the former skiper George Bailey.

We all known that he is big hitter. In 2013 IPL Auction, Kings XI Punjab bought him for a massive 6 crores. He didnt go to waste as he established himself as brilliant middle-order batsman. David Miller registered his name in IPL record books after he smashed the century in just 38 balls against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 6th 2013.

He continued his brilliant form in IPL 7 and IPL 8 season for Kings XI Punjab.

David Miller said,“I am honoured to lead the Kings XI Punjab squad this year. I would like to thank the franchise: promoters, management and all the team members for the confidence they have in me. Kings XI have assembled an exciting squad with a good mixture of youth and experience and I am really looking forward to the opportunity that lies ahead.”

Kings XI Punjab coach Sanjay Bangar said,“I have watched David grow as a player. He has displayed outstanding batting abilities and a cool temperament in many high-pressure situations. I am confident in his potential to lead the boys this season.”
