Sehwag rejects Rajkot’s coaching offer – Scooptimes

Former Indian dashing opener Virender Sehwag rejected the coaching offer for the new IPL team Rajkot. Intex Mobile, the owner of Rajkot team, offered coaching role for Sehwag. Earlier this management had former world cup winning coach Gary Kirsten.

Virender Sehwag is busy day by day. He may be retired from International cricket but his is not down. He will play the Masters Champions League (MCL) which will start from January 28 in Dubai. Also, he has offer from KXIP (Kings XI Punjab) for mentor. Now Rajkot offered the Coaching job for him.

But, Sehwag has not replied any comment yet about this. But sources said Sehwag has turned down this offer. Sehwag is currently busy in Dubai to play the MCL. He will lead the Gemini Arabians and his team will play first match of the tournament against Libra Legends.

Viru may take the offer for mentor of Kings XI Punjab. KXIP insider confirmed the Sehwag deal. He said,”We too have heard all sorts of speculation but we can confirm that he is on board.” Virender Sehwag recently played for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 7 and IPL 8 season.

Rajkot is the new team in the Indian Premier League along with Pune for only two seasons. The teams are introduced due to the suspension of two IPL teams (Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals). For Rajkot, nothing has been finalised yet about the team’s management.
