After a bad incident between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli during IPL, many Indian cricket team fans blamed Virat Kohli for not including in the initial squad against New Zealand. But, now he has been replaced KL Rahul, who suffering from a hamstring.
Gautam Gambhir was his senior when Virat Kohli made his debut, they both represented for the same team in Ranji Trophy – Delhi. When Virat Kohli scored his 1st International century, Gambhir won the Man of the Match but he presented to the Kohli to motivate him.

After the absence of KL Rahul, BCCI called Gautam Gambhir as a replacement for Rahul. Gambhir has joined Team India for the practice camp ahead of the second test against New Zealand at the Eden Gardens.
