India announced the squad for Bangladesh Test – Scooptimes

The BCCI announced the Test squad to play against Bangladesh. Bangladesh will come to India to play only one Test match against India. Bangladesh have toured India four times — 1990, 1998, 2006 and 2016. However, they have never played a Test match in India.

The Bangladesh will play the warm-up game against India A at Secundarabad from Feb 5-6. Recently Bangladesh played the two match test series against New Zealand. And they lost both matches by 7 and 9 wickets respectively. India played their last test series against England and won the series 3-0.

Parthiv Patel, who came back to Indian team after many years, dropped from the squad again. Wriddhimann Saha, who ruled out from the Test series against England due to injury, back to the team. Karun Nair, who played an brilliant innings against England, has been named in the squad for Bangladesh Test.

There is a surprise name in the squad as BCCI named Abhinav Mukund in the squad. Mukund makes a comeback after almost six years. He last played for India was against England in 2011. He has played five Test matches for India and scored 211 runs at an average of 21.10. His highest score is 62 and played his last test match against England in 2011.
